The Evangelical Lutheran Church is one of the landmarks of the town of Thalheim. It was consecrated on November 10, 1850, after a construction period of only 16 months. Church architect Christian Friedrich Uhlig had it built in the Neoclassical style. The church is 39 meters long and has a 48-meter-high bell tower with five bells. A special feature is the romantic church organ, which was built and installed by the long-established Jehmlich company in 1922 after the original Göthel organ was destroyed in the First World War.
