With a shoreline length of 7.9 km, the lake can be easily walked around, sometimes a little away from the shore. From the Parnaßturm in Plön, which is on the route, there is a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding area. There are several bathing areas on the lakeshore (in Plön and Tramm).
