The former National Tobacco Factory of Cadiz, also known as the Royal Tobacco Factory, was founded in 1741 by Philip V. Originally, tobacco manufacturing took place in a large house opposite the Puerta de Sevilla. In 1829, the factory moved to a neo-Mudejar building on Calle Plocia.

This beautiful historic building used to house the Royal Cigar Factory of Cadiz. At the end of the 20th century, tobacco production was moved to a warehouse on the outskirts of the city. This wonderful building is now used as a conference center.
