The Rosario Church in Cádiz is a beautiful religious building with a rich history. Also known as the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, this church has its origins in a hermitage that was built in the 16th century on the same site where it is located today, in the center of the city.

In 1630, after several founding attempts, the Dominican order established a hospice in Cádiz. Finally, they managed to found the convent on July 14, 1635. Construction of the church began in 1652 and was completed in 1666. The convent became an important educational center and housed a significant library until its exclaustration in the 18th century.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Cádiz, I recommend exploring this church and its surroundings. It is a place full of history and beauty! 😊

The church was built in 1567 and has changed its name several times. Above the main altar is the image (late 18th century) of the Virgen del Rosario (Virgin of the Rosary). Next to it are simple columns with images of the patron saints of Cadiz (San Servando and San German).
