"Luftsport has been practiced on the Eisernhardt glider airfield since it was founded in 1930. All of this began with rubber ropes with muscle strength, which gave the gliders the necessary speed to take off downhill made possible.
With the purchase of a Focke-Wulf Stieglitz double-decker in 1960, the era of the motor tow plow began. The gliders could now easily be towed 2-3 times higher than before with the winch. "
