    The Celtic cycle path takes you to several excavation sites in the Vorderrhön. The starting point is the town of Bad Königshofen in Bavaria with its prehistoric museum and the historic town hall. The path then takes you on the trail of the Celts on the Thuringian side to the tranquil town of Römhild, not far from where the Gleichberge mountains rise up, which shape the landscape. A trip to the Kleiner Gleichberg to Steinsburg, one of the most important Celtic settlements in Europe, is just as worthwhile as a visit to the Steinsburg Museum, located in the saddle of the Gleichberge mountains, which tells of the prehistory of southern Thuringia. From Römhild, the Celtic cycle path forms a link to the popular Werra Valley cycle path via the towns of Haina and Dingsleben, which it joins at Reurieth. There is also an information board about the Celtic cycle path here.
