The views into grassy Pelican Valley start getting especially good around here. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including elk.

When you reach the intersection with the Turbid Lake Trail, keeping to the left fork will bring you farther into Pelican Valley and bring you to a couple more excellent viewpoints, but the trail dead-ends at a washed-out bridge over Pelican Creek.
