FACTORY BUILDING SITE SCHÖNAU
In 1811, a spinning factory was built in Sollenau by the banker Imperial Councillor Baron Peter von Braun, but after its bankruptcy in 1823, it became the property of the Johann Martin Pacher von Theinburg family. In addition to the production facilities, the property also included the manor house Schönau Castle and its park.
The spinning factory, like its sister company in Sollenau, which was built at the same time, was converted into a joint-stock company by the family in 1872. The factory was taken over by a bandages company in the early 1930s. The manor house at Kirchengasse 17 and a weaving hall from 1924 still remain from the spinning factory today; all other objects have been replaced by new buildings.
This grave serves as the final resting place of the Pacher von Theinburg family and was decorated with industrially manufactured decorative elements made of terracotta bricks.

In the middle of the cemetery there is an imposing memorial, behind which there is a poor memorial for cycle paths. When you arrive there for the first time you think you are in the wrong film and not on an international cycle path.
