The local history society that runs the open-air museum "Borgsjö Hembygdsgård" currently has around 500 members. The open-air museum, with many old and ancient buildings from the region, aims to be a living village, open to everyone. It is intended to convey important values in everyday life that have been passed down from earlier times and to protect the cultural heritage in the long term. In addition to the many historical buildings and exhibits, there is a café and an inexpensive hostel that is particularly popular with pilgrims on the St. Olav's Way.
