The Fichtensee is actually a fishing lake. Fishing is therefore strictly prohibited - but walking on the area is not expressly prohibited. There is a well-trodden but narrow circular path here that is very popular.

An idyllic little lake in the heart of Löhne. The popular cycle path 🚴♀️🚴 from Mennighüffen/Ostscheid (in the north), passing under the A30 motorway and behind the "Marktkauf" supermarket to the Gymnasium/outdoor swimming pool/Kronprinzenbrücke (in the south), leads directly past the Fichtensee. A perfect opportunity for a short break! The former gravel pit from the construction of the A30 has long since become a charming wetland habitat and a popular local recreation area. Of course, you can also walk around the Fichtensee and explore its secluded shores.
