In many sections the path leads on narrow paths along steep forest slopes or sometimes under or around fallen trees. That's why it's better to hike than to do the tour on a mountain bike. 😉

"... On the dam trail, hikers experience the wonderful nature around the Wahnbach dam on mostly natural paths. In many places you can enjoy views far beyond the dam. Challenging, sometimes narrow and often historic hiking trails lead hikers through numerous marshes and over wooded hills. Since 1958, a mill, two restaurants and two farms have been flooded. 5.8 km long, up to 124 m deep and filled with up to 43.18 million cubic meters of water, the Wahnbach dam supplies around 800,000 people with drinking water..."
