The Schneckenberg is the highest elevation in Offenbach. The Schneckenberg is not a natural mountain, however, but grew out of the former sand-lime quarry in the post-war period through rubble and household and industrial waste.
The Schneckenberg is not open to the public.
A large “photovoltaic system” with more than 10,000 solar modules is installed on the south side of the mountain.
