The passageway of the gatehouse to the Rosenkrantz estate is lined with massive granite columns. These 18 columns are each 5 m high and have a diameter of 40 cm.

In 1895, an impressive gate was built to the manor house in the Italian Renaissance style, with a loggia flanked by columns and decorated with horse heads on the courtyard side. The tower clock of the gatehouse dates from 1683. The gatehouse contains two bells from 1531/41.
