This Dutch mill was built in 1888. This Dutch mill was built in 1888. In 1900 the mill was leased by the Oltmanns family and master miller Georg Oltmanns bought it in 1904. Initially, milling was done using wind power. In 1908 the mill was also powered by a steam engine. After an electric milling system was installed in 1959, the mill was in use to produce animal feed until the 1980s. In 1998, major renovation work was carried out on the mill. The mill cap was renovated and the flights, the codend and the spray beam were replaced and the cladding was re-grouted. In 2001 the milling mill, which was used to produce barley to supply the population, particularly during the war years, was repaired and put back into operation.
