Putuo Buddhist Temple is located at the base of Phoenix Mountain. There was a temple - Huai’An Ancient Temple - at this location from the early Qing Dynasty.
Today’s temple is a huge monastery complex that started with a ‘reconstruction’ in spring of 2000. The buildings lend their architectural style from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
