The grazing zone in Domein Kiewit is a beautiful piece of nature where Galloway cattle roam. These cattle help manage the area by grazing the grasslands, which contributes to a healthy and diverse landscape structure.

Galloway cattle are very well adapted to life outside and require little care. For example, they do not need help with calving or need to be milked. The grazing behaviour of Galloways is very diverse. They eat both (coarse) grasses and brambles, branches, twigs ... Because they do not only eat grasses and graze some parts more or less, the diversity of the landscape increases. Supplementary feeding is not necessary (if the nature reserve is large enough and varied). Their docile character makes them an ideal breed for nature reserves with many visitors.
