Great view from the high bone.The district Hoher Knochen is located in the nature park Sauerland-Rothaargebirge about 2.5 km east of the Schmallenberg district Westfeld. It is located on the saddle between the foremost high bone (764.7 m) in the northeast and the Hömberg (695.4 m) in the southwest and between the valleys of the Lenne in the southeast and the Lenne tributary Black Siepen in the northeast, to 637 up to 650 m above sea level. NN [2]; the Black Siepen is fed by the influx of reef suckling originating at High Bone.
