The true story of the dragon. The Wawel Dragon – a creature that lived in a hole under Wawel Hill – was said to have terrorized the inhabitants of the city of Krak. They had to provide the beast with cattle sacrifices, and according to some legends, the dragon only devoured virgins. None of the knights managed to defeat it – only the shoemaker Skuba managed to do so.
