The legendary Schächerbach Valley gives this trail its name and theme. Springs, streams, and ponds in a highly diverse landscape with pleasant forests and beautiful meadow valleys are the basic features of a hiking trail that repeatedly references legends from the time when the "Schächer" (thieves) still wreaked havoc in this valley. Magnificent views of the half-timbered town of Homberg and the Amöneburg Castle in the Ebsdorfer Grund region complete this hiking experience.
