The artwork ‘Schulens Schaap’ chiselled from Belgian bluestone is by artist Luk Luts. The statue was given a beautiful place in front of the home of Adam, the shepherd of the sheep flock in Schulensbroek. The artwork was erected in 2013 as a tribute to the Schulen sheep, who are partly responsible for the management in Schulensbroek. Sheep are the ambassadors for biodiversity in Herk-de-Stad.
