You have to take a considerable detour around the E6 tunnel on the old E6. As a reward, you drive through a very quiet rural area along the fjord. In the village of Storsandnes they even keep alpacas that just stand around on the road. So don't worry. I found this tunnel bypass to be one of the most beautiful stretches of road between the North Cape and Lofoten; somehow a world of its own.
