The Finnes Coastal Battery (Finnes Kystfort) is a World War II historical site located just north of Alta. It was built by the German occupational forces during World War II to protect the Atlafjord. You will still find the remains of concrete gun emplacements, trenches, and bunkers used during the occupation. You will also get fine views out over the Altafjord.
