The section of the branch of the Neisse is called Weinlache. This is where Görlitz's first river bathing establishment was located. It was opened in 1907 and expanded into an outdoor pool from 1909 to 1912. The river bathing establishment was demolished after the border was drawn by the Neisse as a result of the Potsdam Agreement in 1945. Today, only a few remains of the wall on the bank of the Neisse on Inselweg remind us of the former bathing establishment. In 1946, the public bathing establishment was set up further west. However, bathing has been prohibited here for years. Source: de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badeanstalt_in_der_Weinlache

The Weinlache is a small lake formed as a tributary of the Neisse River. Here, you leave the Neisse Cycle Path and hike uphill through the vineyards.
