Funchal's Town Hall (Portuguese: Câmara Municipal do Funchal) is located in the city's historic center, on Praça do Município.
Construction: Originally built in 1758 as the palace of the Count of Carvalhal.
In 1883, the city council acquired the building and established the town hall there. The building is distinguished by its elegant façade, a courtyard tiled in 1940 by the Maria de Portugal factory, and a marble statue of "Leda and the Swan" by Germano José Salles.
