Nizami Street, also known as "Torgovaya" (Merchant Street), is the most famous and vibrant thoroughfare in downtown Baku, Azerbaijan. Named after the classical poet Nizami Ganjavi, it serves as the city's central artery and is a hub for shopping, dining, and culture.

The history of Nizami Street dates back to Baku's town-planning project of 1864. It was initially called "Torgovaya Street" due to its status as a commercial center. Over the years, its name changed several times before officially becoming Nizami Street in 1962. The intensive construction along the street has occurred in three main periods: the late 19th to early 20th century, the 1950s–1970s, and the modern era. This layered history is reflected in its diverse and eclectic architecture.
