Most beautiful view of the city Pressath with the parish church St. Georg above the Haidenaab.
A document from the year 1124 mentions the already 200 years old possession of the Pressather. Pressath possessed the market right with important own rights and was since 1280 seat of a Unteramtes of the office Waldeck Kemnath. In the 16th and 17th centuries Pressath had to suffer under the frequent change of confession of the rulers. The today's town Pressath in the district Oberpfalz belonged later to the Rentamt Amberg and to the regional court Waldeck of the Kurfürstentums Bavaria. On January 20, 1845, King Ludwig I raised Pressath to the city.
