The Carlswerk was built in 1828 and is now a walk-through technical monument. Information panels demonstrate the workings of existing equipment, and the two gentlemen from the museum were very keen to explain everything to us in a clear and concise manner. To preserve the industrial heritage in Mägdesprung, a documentation center for the history of technology was established in the former "Carlswerk" machine factory, so again, we highly recommend it.
