The striking bright red tent roof can be seen from afar, but only up close does it become clear that it is a church roof. The striking church, which cannot deny that it was built in the 1970s (completed in 1978), was designed by Karl and his son Gero Band. The original intention of using it as a motorway church - with the striking roof as a landmark - ultimately did not come to fruition. But it is still an architectural gem.
