The hamlet of ‘Dangochang’ is located in the upper valley of the ‘Paro Chhu’ at an altitude of 4,000 m and is part of the ‘Soe Gewog’ and ‘Thimphu dzongkhag’ (district). The small village has several government buildings and a school.
The annual ‘Jomolhari Mountain Festival’ takes place here with dances, yak and horse shows.
