Bhutanese arts and crafts represent the "spirit and identity of the Himalayan kingdom" and are defined as the art of Zorig Chosum, "the thirteen arts and crafts of Bhutan". Crafts include carpentry, painting, papermaking, blacksmithing, weaving and sculpture, among others.
The National Institute for Zorig Chosum was established by the Bhutanese government to preserve Bhutanese culture and traditions and to train students in arts and crafts.
