About Frank

After a long period of abstinence from sport, the pulse got up again ...

Currently, the bike paths upstream directly on the Isar are under water on the left (from Grosshess. Brücke) and the trails above are pretty muddy. Nevertheless, the test ride on a gravel bike was really fun ...

Partly very muddy ground due to the rain of the past few days. A stop at the Forsthaus Hubertus: long menu, but ultimately only four dishes on offer ... 😒
The magic lake is always worth a short stop - but at the moment it is also very well visited by mosquitoes ...

Actually I wanted to go for a lap to Mesnerbichl - but then threatening clouds came closer and closer and I decided to be a wimp at the chapel and to turn around.
The view from the chapel - which is locked and probably rarely opened - was still nice. A banker in front of it would always invite to linger there.

Short tour to Machtlfing near St. Andechs mountain. I wanted to avoid the busy sections as much as possible - I had to "take" the gravel section between Hanfeld and Hadorf with me. Well - 1.5 km of forest road were bearable and I prefer to come through Söcking or Starnberg. The road between Traubing and Machtlfing was then more busy than expected and some drivers overtook with an extremely short distance ...

A relaxed tour through Forstenrieder Park. The southernmost part is no longer asphalted, but it was still easy to ride with the tandem. Advantage: there are almost no cyclists or walkers on the way and the dense forest has its own atmosphere again. At the end we went spontaneously to Solln to eat ice cream .... 😉🍧

On beautiful - sometimes really captivating streets - with always sensational views of the mountains! A dream!

Today in a south-easterly direction to Irschenberg as the destination. The Mangfall area has some steep climbs. In addition, a wall of thunderstorms came towards me at the most distant point. Thank God I chose the right variant and was able to escape the hail and even come home dry.
The route offers some very quiet and beautiful sections as well as great views.
