Schoonhoven Town Hall, built in 1452, is a late Gothic monument located on the harbor. It boasts a striking wooden clock tower with a historic carillon and a rich interior collection. It was thoroughly restored in the 20th century and is considered one of the finest examples of medieval urban architecture in the Netherlands.

Gothic style town hall, originally built as a Waag building with a 50-carillon bell. The oldest city hall in use in the Netherlands. Schoonhoven has been running here since 1452.
The carillon is played by the city carillonneur every Wednesday (1 pm) and Saturday (10 am).

Schoonhoven is the "Silver City". Numerous jewelers and jewelery designers on site. A nice cityscape on both sides of the canal with good places to stop for refreshments. At the port (Lek) possibility to cross over by ferry.
