The Diemelsee, also called Diemelstausee, is a reservoir with a water surface of 1.65 km² and around 19.9 million m³ of storage space on the Diemel. It is located in the area of the municipality of Diemelsee in the Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg and in the urban area of Marsberg in the Hochsauerland district.

In summer, it is a great lake for swimming with plenty of places to lie down. After our hike, we took a little break with the electric boat and then had an ice cream at the beach kiosk.
