The Ettelsberg near Willingen is an 837.7 m high mountain in the Rothaargebirge in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district. The mountain is known nationwide for its high heath, the "Willingen ski area" and the Hochheideturm.It is located in the Upland, in the Diemelsee Nature Park. Its summit rises about 2 km south-southwest and above the main town of Willingen. To the northwest, its landscape falls into the Hoppecke valley and to the northeast into that of the Itter.Its neighboring mountains include Mühlenkopf (approx. 815 m) in the south-southeast, Hegekopf (842.9 m) in the south-southwest and Mittelsberg (801 m) in the west; about 2.5 km northwest, beyond the Hoppecke valley, lies the Hoppernkopf (805 m).Fantastic nature and super beautiful hiking trails.
