The Valley of the Kleine Beerze is a management unit of the Brabants Landschap, the municipality of Eersel and the municipality of Oirschot. It is located within the municipality of Oirschot, the municipality of Bladel and Eersel and includes a number of areas along the valley of the Kleine Beerze via Duizel, Hoogeloon, Vessem and Middelbeers, of which Molenbroek and Spekdonken are the most important.

Molenbroek is a former green municipality, a common land ownership that was never parcelled out. It was used as a cattle pasture and for water storage. The latter was important for the water mill downstream, which is also the reason for the name of this marshland.

The Spekdonken is a complex of elongated medieval hayfield plots. These are now being made lean again by mowing and removing the cuttings.

The Kleine Beerze was returned to its natural state in 2011. This means that this stream will meander again.
