The nature park gate is interesting because there is an information board here about the history of the GDR around Brandenburg. The castle area was no longer accessible to the residents of Lauchröden from 1961 onwards and was cordoned off. The reason for this was surveillance systems on the Stechberg. Where citizens had previously been able to hike, there was no access until 1989. So the people of Lauchröden laid out new paths on what are now grassy slopes. The "paradise" was created, which can still be hiked today.
