        The Werra offers active paddlers everything they need for pleasant, uncomplicated water hiking: in many places canoes and rowing boats are available for hire. Corresponding protective equipment for large and small captains is of course included. Every Werraort has a landing stage where you can take a break, stretch your legs and look.

        Those who prefer to be driven will get their money's worth with an organized raft trip or in a rubber dinghy. In a happy lap it gradually goes down the river. Perhaps with the raft from Lauchröden over about six kilometers to Neuenhof on the Werra Meander (popularly known as the "Kuchenschieber")?
