The Hôtel de Sélys-Longchamps is a 15th century mansion located at 9 Mont Saint-Martin in the Saint-Laurent district. It belonged to famous families of the region such as the de La Mark family or the de Méan family. The de Méan family, in particular the last Prince-Bishop of Liège, François-Antoine-Marie de Méan, became the owners of the hotel in 1659.
In 1910, Baron Maurice de Sélys-Longchamps bought the hotel. He gave his name to the building and began a major restoration campaign with the architect Edmond Jamar that lasted about ten years.
