Where the wooden heart now draws attention, the wedding tree once stood. For the newlyweds who sealed their marriage at the Scheffelschlösschen, it provided the perfect setting for commemorative photos.

But over time, the tree lost its vitality and died. Ultimately, it had to be felled and removed for safety reasons.

The newly erected wooden heart has now become its worthy successor. Like the tree, it is often used as a popular photo spot. The heart is made of oak and will hopefully weather many storms (including those of love).
