The church has been used for religious purposes again since 1815, after being deconsecrated following the French Revolution. It is dedicated to Saint Erasmus, the patron saint of sailors. Inside, you can see many ship models, including those on the altar and hanging from the ceiling.
The Kaielke was built by Jesuits in 1622.
In 1773, the Jesuits were expelled, and the building was initially used by the College Royal.
