Just a few yards south of Lava Canyon Rapids, there is a nice little beach next to the Beamer Trail. No matter which direction you are going, this a great spot to take a break and to collect water from the Colorado River. If you are lucky, there might be some rafting boats floating through the rapids which is fun to watch. There is a large sand bank that leads way into the Colorado River. But be careful not to get to close to where the deep and rushing water starts.
