Here, a section of the Filosofendreef runs through a part of the forest where management works changed(d) the view. It was a forest of common pine with an understory of American oak. The latter was cut down for more variation.

The so-called internal forest edge consists of, among other things, European bird cherry, hawthorn, medlar, wild apple, blackthorn and hazel. Part has been developed into heathland grassland where the heather and broom already show themselves beautifully.
