Above the Sauerland Park there is a large meadow plateau where you can walk, bike or simply enjoy the view and nature. If you look closely you can still see traces of the past. The military training area. Old concrete roads for the tanks/vehicles, ruins of buildings as targets and/or hiding places.

Unfortunately, the name of the highlight is misleading. "Along the Sauerlandpark Emer" would be better, as the park as such is not open to cyclists as far as I know. Access to the park is subject to a fee and is sometimes only possible via turnstiles.
