Hiking
"Oelmann's Cross" is called in Hüingsen and Brelen and is to remind the wanderer of the tragic death of two boys who died in the penultimate year of war at the age of nine or eleven years after a grenade explosion. Every year on the 14th of May there are fresh flowers under the cross, presented by Hubert Oelmann, the brother of Arnold Oelmann. Hubert was there as a 15-year-old and survived only because he apparently had a good guardian angel. -Taken from an online newspaper
