There is a free car park and an information board here. It is the starting point for a highly recommended 2-kilometer loop through the Quinta da Rocha wetland. You can walk along a dam regardless of the tide.

The Quinta da Rocha is a peninsula surrounded by the Odiáxere stream and the Alvor river. Together they form the Alvor estuary. On the way through the area you will discover a variety of landscapes: agricultural land, Mediterranean scrubland, salt marshes, fish farms and the aquatic ecosystems of the lagoon.
The wetland is an important resting and feeding place for numerous bird species that migrate between Europe and Africa. Little terns and black-winged stilts nest here in spring, while in winter birds such as redshanks, oystercatchers, flamingos and ospreys visit the area.
