In 1340, Billmuthausen was first mentioned as Billmuthehusen. The village was essentially a manor. In 1840, there were 14 houses, a mill and a church in Billmuthausen, and by 1850 the village had 68 inhabitants. The mill had a mill and a grinding mill, its own water and electricity supply and a bakery. During the military expansion of the border, the weir for the mill ditch was destroyed, thus cutting off the water from the mill.
