After the Turia flood in 1957, the river was diverted past Valencia. The old riverbed was to be used for a city motorway. Fortunately, this plan did not prevail. Today, the riverbed is a beautiful park with playgrounds, sports facilities, a diverse flora and the "Ciutat de les arts i les sciencies". When Valencians meet there, they still say "vamos al rio", we're going into the river!

Pure leisure and relaxation. There is something for everyone in the park. There is even a soccer field here.
