The marked section is mostly asphalt and is therefore easy to drive, then the rest of the railway cycle path to the east, made of clay and little gravel. With a racing bike, the railway cycle path is definitely rideable, it is accordingly dusty in dry conditions and can be more frequented on weekends (also by families and hikers). A nice alternative if you don't want to drive right through Haßlinghausen. The curves on the marked segment are very tight and can only be driven slowly.
