The two-and-a-half-meter-high and five-meter-wide bench at Müsauelsberg invites visitors to linger and pause, offering a fantastic panoramic view across the open landscape of the Dreiborn Plateau. It is constructed from untreated Douglas fir wood, which, due to its high resin content, possesses natural protection against the elements.

Those hiking directly from the "Dreiborner Hochfläche" parking lot in Schleiden-Dreiborn towards Simmerath-Hirschrott will find the new attraction after approximately 1.8 kilometers.

On a swing bench, you can not only let your soul dangle, but also your feet! 🥾💭 With a stunning panoramic view over the Dreiborn Plateau, you can observe the natural process of reclaiming wilderness from a unique perspective.

To mark its 20th anniversary, the Eifel National Park received a special birthday present in autumn 2024: The National Park Hosts Group donated the "XXL Swing Bench." It's an oversized seat for visitors to the protected area. The project was financed by the Hosts Group, and the impressive bench was built and installed by the National Park's woodworking workshop.
