The Castle Riding Hall is located in the area of Krumlov Castle near the Baroque garden. It was built in the years 1744–1746 in the style of the Viennese Rooque during the reign of Prince Joseph Adam von Schwarzenberg, who transformed his seat in Krumlov on the example of the Viennese imperial court. The project was prepared by the Viennese architect Andreas Altomonte, later the imperial court engineer and theatrical caricaturist. Stucco decorations are the work of the sculptor Jan Antonin Zinner, a graduate of the Vienna Academy. In the Czech lands it is a unique historical building.
